Mindy Corporon Joins Board of Directors for
Community Foundation of Johnson County
Mindy Corporon has been appointed to the Board of Directors of the Community Foundation of Johnson County.
The Foundation’s mission is to improve the community’s quality of life by increasing charitable giving, connecting donors to needs they care about and providing leadership on critical community issues.
“I am honored to fill this role for the Foundation,” said Corporon. “The Community Foundation is a cornerstone of philanthropic giving in Johnson County and I look forward to making a significant contribution to their mission.”
The Community Foundation of Johnson County recently established “Johnson County Cares,” an emergency assistance fund for individuals needing assistance with basic necessities. The foundation also assists donors in forming advised funds and giving circles.

SEC Regional Compliance Seminar
Brian recently attended, via webcast, the 2009 Regional CCOutreach Seminar. The Securities and Exchange Commission
hosts these annual seminars to help compliance officers address
compliance in today’s evolving environment. This year’s
seminar topics included fiduciary duty, safeguarding client assets,
performance claims and compliance resources.
CFA Conferences
This spring kept Rich busy attending a number of conferences for Chartered Financial Analysts
(CFA). These included March’s CFA Wealth Management Conference in
Chicago and the Annual CFA Conference in Florida at the end of April.
Boyer & Corporon Introduces Skype Videoconferencing
Skype, an internet based application, allows users to make phone calls
via the internet. With the addition of a webcam, Skype allows
videoconferencing with anyone in the world who also has Skype. At this
point, both of these capabilities are free. Boyer & Corporon
is now using Skype to connect with our clients and it feels like
we’re in the same room with people who might be thousands of
miles away (almost). The best part for our clients is that
getting started with Skype is incredibly easy. Skype
software is free to download, and a simple webcam can be purchased for
less than $100 at your local consumer electronics store. Click here to see just how easy it is! We invite you to call us at the office if you want to know more about videoconferencing with BCWM.
Going Green is Easy
Quick and easy access to important documents is easy for our clients
when we scan and store these documents in their Personal Client Vaults.
Besides ease of access, this is yet another great way to go green by
saving paper. At BCWM we have a program to securely recycle any waste
paper we generate. Contact our office if you would like to learn more
about activating your Personal Client Vault.
